Since I retired from my day job a little more than three years ago, I have felt more of a need to be involved in the area right where I live, the city of Lansing (MI) and my Averill Woods neighborhood.
In the past my focus has been on the whole state because of jobs I’ve held and on other areas in all parts of the lower and upper peninsulas. Now it’s time to be involved where I live and spend most of my time.
That’s why I’m starting this blog–Southwest Lansing (MI) and my neighborhood. I want one place where I can share news and views about our great city that’s in a struggle to emerge from the gloominess of a state and local economy in turmoil.
This will be a work in progress. I welcome comments and suggestions.
