- He embraces Granholm plan to create smaller high schools in the city.
- He shakes everybody’s hand.
- He salutes Lansing police chief Mark Alley. He’s proud of chief and department. We are blest to have the best.

- New developments in old neighborhoods; more homes on school for the blind.
- He’s addressing foreclosure crisis.

Justin–I think that the speech contained a lot of unrealized potential. It made me wonder if I lived in the same city as the Mayor. I bet that there was very little morning after conversation about it at water coolers around town.
