Southwest Lansing (MI) and my neighborhood

Get out your cameras while it’s still summer!

We need you (youth and adults) to take pictures of the people and places we love in our neighborhood.

• We need photos that reflect the diversity of age, race, occupation, family composition, and talents in our neighborhood.
• We need photos of neighbors interacting with others or enjoying the neighborhood outdoors in a variety of ways (walking the dog, washing the car, riding bikes, running through the sprinkler, playing at the park, mowing the lawn, etc.) or working on their hobbies.
• We need photos of your neighbors’ beautiful landscaping, new paint job on the house, or lovely view of the pool.
• We need photos of the amazing flora and fauna in our wooded areas.
• We need photos of our partners (LPD, school, church).
• Whatever it is that you appreciate about our neighborhood, we need to have it in print!

ENTRIES: Please submit your pictures (in digital form) anytime between now and September 15, 2009 to Melissa at hubermel at msu dot edu.  Please indicate to whom the photograph(s) should be attributed. Submissions become property of the neighborhood association and may be used in our promotional materials, newsletters, websites, etc.

WINNERS: Two winners will be chosen and announced on September 24, 2009. The person who submits the most usable photos and the person who submits the best photo as determined by the review board will each win a $10 gift certificate to a local restaurant.
